“Making a deadly monster into a toothless one.”
My most recent work blends my fine-art background with my work over the past 20 years in digital innovation and animation. As a personal endeavor, much of what I'm doing now is inspired by creating juxtapositions between the cultural and social norms we are indoctrinated with from childhood and how those ideas perpetuate capitalist, patriarchal values surrounding politics, religion, gender, sexuality and more. Humor is a primary vehicle for my perspective, both in life and art, and I believe a powerful means of draining fear from and challenging dangerous belief systems—of making a deadly monster into a toothless one.
