Expressive Mark-Making
I tend to draw mostly through line weight—I enjoy creating images that take on their own life through lines that travel off the page, that are implied through form, that define only what they need to.
However, I also like stretching different approaches and exploring the edges I can push them to, as with the shadowed, sepia-toned portrait below. My work is largely direct and intentional.
